A week of sequencing fun!

This week the students learned that sequencing means putting things in the order that they happen. To practice sequencing, we read several funny versions of "I know an old lady" books. We practiced sequencing using puppets and illustrations from the books. The students enjoyed the silly stories--there was a lot of laughter this week!

We had our first full week of reading groups and the students are quickly adjusting to our new routine.

In math we have focused on comparing items based on their size. The students are becoming experts on identifying items that are longer/shorter, bigger/smaller, etc. They especially enjoyed building towers with blocks and comparing their height.

Next week we will practice counting skills and learn about characters and setting. I am looking forward to another great week!
